These one-of-a-kind hand-loomed tapetes are a beautiful example of master textile artist Pedro Romo de la Rosa's unique artistry.

A third-generation textile artist in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Pedro's work has been shown in a number of galleries throughout Mexico, as well as the MoMA in NYC. We're honored to also represent his textile work, which is crafted entirely by hand from start to finish — including dyeing every strand of wool and weaving each rug on a pedal loom that he built himself. Please see notes below regarding three different color/pattern options, dimensions, care instructions, etc.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Dry clean only, as little as possible. To dust, carefully shake the tapetes outside. A warm iron may be used to smooth any creases as a result of shipping or storage. Do not iron the tapetes directly—protect the surface by ironing through a bed sheet or other piece of fabric.

All sales are otherwise final after 14 days. We cannot exchange tapetes from our handmade collection, because they are one of a kind. Please note: a $60 restocking fee applies to the return of handmade tapetes. Please carefully consider all details of a handmade item before making your purchase—we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
