Atzompa Chia Pet

Atzompa Chia Pet

Did you know that animalitos de chía are originally from Mexico? The whimsical figures represent life after death and are traditionally used on altars to the Virgin of Dolores during the Easter Holy Week. These three little guys, with their distinctive green-glazed heads, are from the Oaxacan village Santa María Atzompa, which we were fortunate to visit during our recent stay in Oaxaca City. Includes a small packet of additional chia seeds. Please see notes below regarding dimensions, etc.
