How gorgeous are these handwoven Zapotec textiles? Dyed using 100% natural/plant-based colors, these one-of-a-kind table runners/wall hangings with the Zapotec tree of life motif, were woven on a pedal loom by Sorocco Martinez Ruiz in the village of Teotitlan del Valle.

Along with her four sisters and brother, Sorocco runs Casa Martinez, where all six were taught the art of pedal loom weaving as children by their father, a master Zapotec textile artist in his own right. Please see notes below regarding dimensions, care, etc.

DIMENSIONS: 78" long x 9" wide, with fringe.

CARE: Dry clean only, once every two years. To dust, carefully shake the runner outside, once every 2-3 months. A warm iron may be used to smooth any creases as a result of shipping or storage. Do not iron directly—protect the surface by ironing through a bed sheet or other piece of fabric.
