Vintage Tlaqupaque Redware Cazuela

Vintage Tlaqupaque Redware Cazuela

10.00 22.00

A whimsical folk art "cazuela" (casserole), made in Tlaqupaque, Jalisco, which has been producing this variety of tourist redware since the 1940s.

Historically, these handled pots were used in the oven as casseroles, however, due to the delicate nature of the clay + glaze, we recommend using this piece for display, only. Would be a sweet little fruit/vegetable bowl, though equally as lovely hung on a kitchen wall. Please see notes below regarding dimensions, condition, etc.
